Description

At Saint Mary’s Hospital, our Registered Nurses RN Med/Surg Ortho & Neuro is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, including those recovering from surgery, managing orthopedic injuries, and neurological conditions.

What You Will Do

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and document patient conditions, including neurological and musculoskeletal status. Monitor vital signs, neurological function, and post-operative progress
  • Administer medications, including IV therapy, pain management, and anticoagulants. Provide wound care, dressing changes, and surgical site monitoring.
  • Educate patients and families on post-operative care, mobility, and rehabilitation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Completion of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Must hold a valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an Acute Inpatient setting is required.
  • BLS or CPR Certification: Current certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.

Work Schedule: Full Time-36 Nights-12 Hour Shift-Every 3rd Weekend & Every Other Holiday
