Position Description
One of our client is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate and skilled nursing care for a children's group home with six residents
Type: Contract
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Location: New York
Job Overview
The RN will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of the children by overseeing their medical care, coordinating with healthcare providers, and supporting a nurturing group home environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to children with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while ensuring proper documentation.
Monitor and assess residents' health status, reporting any changes to physicians and care teams.
Collaborate with caregivers, therapists, and medical professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate and support direct care staff on health-related procedures, infection control, and emergency protocols.
Ensure compliance with state regulations, policies, and best practices for residential care facilities.
Maintain accurate medical records, reports, and documentation as required.
Coordinate and accompany residents to medical appointments when needed.
Foster a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for all residents.
Qualifications
Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Experience working with children with developmental disabilities or in a group home setting preferred.
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with care teams, families, and healthcare providers.
Knowledge of state regulations and compliance standards for residential fac
