POSITION: Substitute Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
REPORTS TO: Health Services Coordinator
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Provide state mandated health services to students under the direction of the Health Services Coordinator.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Experience with nursing procedures (tracheotomy, G-tube feedings, catheterization, diabetic care, etc.) highly preferred.
· Ability to medically document in a professional and thorough manner.
· Ability to exercise professionalism and confidentiality when providing information to the students, parents, and staff.
· Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with students, parent, staff, and other personnel.
· Successful experience working in school health or in the area of pediatrics, desirable.
· Must have own transportation
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Connecticut
Current First Aid/CPR Certification.
SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary in accordance with Hartford Educational Support Professionals 2013-2018. Appendix A, Grid T480 ($33,241-$38,688)
